DMC and its participating labels will provide tracks and music parts in various remixing competitions within the terms of DMCDOWNLOAD.
All rights to the tracks and parts remain the property of the copyright owner and music publisher.
Contestants will be offered a prize for the winning mix on provision of the prize the winning remix in each competition will become the sole property of the copyright owner in perpetuity.
Should the remixer incorporate tracks or parts from another copyright the responsibility to clear the rights in the case of a public release will rest with the participating record company.
If the participating label wishes to use any other entry in their remix competition, they will negotiate directly and independently with the remix producer.
Participating remix producers inherit no rights to produce commercially their entry either for commercial sale, promotion or download, free or otherwise, without arrangements with the copyright owning label.
All entries will be reviewed by the participating copyright owning label that will decide the overall winner or provide a short-list for public voting on DMCWorld.com.
Entries received after the published deadline will not be eligible for entry.
The remix producer agrees to allow their remix to be played for judging purposes on DMCDOWNLOAD network or in any media participating in a competition.
Any public release of the remixer's production will contain their name in production credits.
DMCDOWNLOAD charges incorporate royalty payments and fees to MCPS/PRS/BT, the Service Provider, Copyright Owner and VAT where relevant.
