Kandystand
The prize:
Would you like to remix the next Kandystand Single, due for release early 2009?
Kandystand are looking for 3 remixes for their new single 'Love Invasion' due to be released in early 2009. You choose the style, latin, house, candlelight, electro, its all up to you.
The best 3 remixes selected by the band will make it to the final release of the single, be heard by high profile record pools across Europe and the USA, and additionaly winners will receive a prize of iTunes vouchers.
Closing date for submissions is 4th January 2009.
Rules:
Remixers are allowed to submit as many entries as they wish.
Submissions will only be accepted by email to remixed@dmcworld.com
All submissions should be received at the email address above by 4th January 2009 23:59 Central European Time.
Remixes should be submited as WAV Files, 44kHz, stereo format (please keep an unmastered version also as winners may be asked for final files with no master processing)
All remixes must be original and contain elements created by the Remixer.
Remixer should not sample or use any copyrighted or otherwise proprietary material belonging to any other person or entity.
Remixer understands that the results and product of the remix services provided do not and will not defame, infringe or violate the rights of privacy or any other rights of any third party.
Remixer understands and acknowledges that remixes created are deemed as 'Work For Hire', become property of Team Hayward Media once submitted, and may be used and released without restriction only by Team Hayward Media or its authorised agents.
Remixers agree to signing work for hire contract with Team Hayward Media if selected as a winner of the competition.
The remix package file and its contents may only be downloaded from www.dmcremix.com for the sole purpose of the remix competition and cannot be shared with anyone via any means. Violation of this will result in automatic disqualification from the competition.
The reference mix is for the remixer to gain an idea of the original track only and is encoded with beeps for security purposes. The reference mix shall not be used for any other purpose, altered or redistributed in any way.
Remixers are allowed to:
Use their remixes for promoting themselves to record companies etc.
Distribute their remixes to radio stations (incl. web radios)
Play their own remixes on their own gigs etc.
Add their remixes for listening on their Myspace etc. website for promotion purposes with the following conditions: Remixes can NEVER, under any circumstances, be made available for download or made available for sale and may only contain previews not longer than 1.30 minutes. Track title MUST be in format Kandystand - Love Invasion (Remixers name Remix/Edit/Mix etc.)
If a radio station plays the remix, you have to let us know about it by email at productions@teamhayward.com
Prize:
The best 3 remixes as judged by Kandystand will be released on the next scheduled single release due in early 2009 and club played through major record pools across Europe and the USA.

Nayo 'Desert Storm' ( Fyro Music)
The prize:
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to take the Vocal & Guitar parts from Nayo's brand new track 'Desert Storm' (Released on the 15th November) and mash up your own remixed version. The parts consist of Acapella Vocals along with Acoustic & Electric Guitar samples from the track which give any remixer excellent scope for producing blinding tracks from all genres. The original version can be heard at myspace.com/nayo and a club mix of the track is also available so Nayo & her compadres are looking for a cool lounge/house version (think Buddha bar, EBTG).
The winner of the competition will have their remix commercially available on download along with the chance to be Included on the next Hugely Successful Hed Kandi Compilation Album.
So, there you have it! You've got 6 weeks to get your masterpiece to us in order for you to be included in the initial judging, so get your remix hat on and get splicing!

1980 Recordings
Dan McKie 'Sharpe Mafia' ( 1980 Recordings)
The prize: Your remix will be available on download and you will get 50% of the money from the sales of your remix and if the remix is extra special then there is the possibility of a vinyl release. You will also receive a promo mailing list membership, along with some extra vinyl thrown in for good measure! There are two runner up prizes of digital releases for 2nd & 3rd place with no money from sales but exposure to over 250 download sites and even if you dont make the top three, you may still get a release!!
1980 Recordings
Digital Filth 'Do You Understand' ( 1980 Recordings)
The prize: Your remix will be available on download and you will get 50% of the money on sales of your mix. If the remix is extra special then a vinyl release will be made with copies coming to you. You also get promo mailing list membership, along with some extra vinyl thrown in for good measure!

The prize: Back Catalogue, 1 year on Born To Dance mailing list & VIP tickets to a few of the Born To Dance events along with a profile & biog on the Born To Dance website. 3 Loopmaster Samples CDs for the winner, and 1 Loopmaster Sample CD for each runner up. You can download some FREE LOOPS from the Loopmaster Sample CD series to help you with your remix.

Infamous Light Recordings
Lucifer 'Mistaken' ( Infamous Light Recordings)
The prize: Professional mastering of the remix (www.audiosourcemastering.com). Release of the remix as a digital download on all the big mp3 sites (eg Juno, Beatport, DJ Download, 3 Beat and DMC. Promotion of their release on the Infamous Record Pool (www.infamouslightrecordings.com/RecordPool) - with feedback forwarded directly to the winner. DJ Set OR Live Performance Recording from the winner to be featured as an Infamous Podcast (www.infamouslightrecordings.com/infamouspodcasts).
